My name is Terry Rossi (and yes it is my real name). I was originally a Computer Software Geek, I mean “Engineer”. Then I got laid off when my line of work became “less profitable”. After wasting 2 years looking for another job, I decided to run my own business.
There are 2 things I am pretty good with: Car Racing and Healthy Living (healthy food, supplements, exercise, diets, staying in shape, etc.).
Who am I and how do I know all this stuff.
On the Internet there are things called Affiliate Programs. I didn’t know anything about those, but basically they are systems that allow anyone to make a commission when convincing anyone to buy something from someone else. Sounds like a good idea. So I started to check out some health products out there, test them on myself, share my findings and make some recommendations to the people who would visit my web sites (mostly my friends and family so I needed to make sure the products were the best before making any recommendations).
Awesome system!!! The buyer is not paying a dime over the product’s price, only the company selling the product would make less profit because they pay the commission. It’s kind of like Wholesale pricing vs Retail. This is how 90% of the transactions are made online (Amazon.com is a good example of it). I think it’s a great concept, but what really bothers me is that most people using the system build fake review sites where they recommend products based on how much money they will make in commissions instead of really trying to find the right ones.
It is possible to recommend the right product, but it requires time to study the market and unfortunately, the best product is usually not the one that will pay the most commissions.
So I started creating Web Sites where I would review Health Products and make recommendations based the ingredients and the results of my tests. Basically looking for products that I would use myself and recommend to my friends and family.
For some unknown reason, they never tell their real names?!?
Why?
Is it because they are lying!!! Guess what, if they are telling the truth, why do they hide their identity?!?
I read somewhere that it is impossible to lose more than 1% of your total weight per month without exercise and an appropriate Diet. So it is time, we people, stop dreaming about weight loss just because we want to believe in these lies.
It’s not real!!!
So since we are talking about the truth, here’s the truth about me:
Have you noticed all the web sites or Blogs on the Internet, telling you what to do (or NOT to do) about such and such product, recommending products, guaranteeing unbelievable results like losing outrageous amount of weight in as little as few days?
Obviously Car Racing sounds a lot more exciting, so I opened a Race Shop. Chassis Setup, Coaching, Instructing, Track Support, etc. It sounded all good and exciting but in the end it was a total disaster. I ended up loosing everything I had saved (But I can say at least that I’ve tried, let’s think positive here :).
Few months ago I had the opportunity to attend a seminar on “Internet Marketing”. I found it absolutely fascinating. Since then I have been buying courses, E-Books, CDs, DVDs, etc. Studying everything I could on Internet Marketing (and spending way too much money on it, but Hey! What can I say, I am really good at buying stuff :). And Yes I did get Scammed.
So… I have learned a lot about Internet Marketing (and buying online since I bought all my courses on the Internet). So when time came to figure out how to pay for those Credit Cards bills, I had to pick the domain where I could apply my new Internet Marketing Skills. Here we go again: Racing or Health? Well, I’ve been through this before and picked up the wrong one, so this time, I am going with Health.
Some Day, I’ll Go back to Racing (Hopefully!?!)
The good news is that I think I must know (almost) everything that is to be known about Internet Marketing. Why can’t I become a millionaire like these Internet Marketing Gurus? It must be because I refuse to use what’s called “Black Hat” Tactics or Scamming or Spamming or anything like that.
I started about 6 months ago.
What’s the status now?
Not so good. I am ready to file bankruptcy.
If you have read until here and you wonder why the heck I am telling you all this, here’s why:
I know what the Scammers are doing (and I refuse to do the same), I know how they get away with it and if you bare with me, in few minutes you are going to know as well. It bothers me to see people making money abusing other people. It’s wrong!!! And if I can’t make money doing the right thing, then so be it.
But what am I talking about. Everything is going to be OK because thousands of people are going to buy from me now, Right? Because everyone wants to buy from an Honest guy. Right? After all the work I put together to provide all that information? People are going to thanks me for this. Right? :)
Well, I suppose this site will never be on the first page of Google, so chances are nobody might ever find it on the Internet. Time will tell...
I refuse to lie about products in order to make more commissions. My Mom must have done a really good job raising me, my priest hasn’t seen me in a long time for confession and I sleep very well at night (that makes me feel good and proud, but I need to explain that to the Bankruptcy Judge I shall meet very soon).
